Kathy is taking her expertise from writing four of her own books, ghost writing books for two others, her years of critiquing manuscripts, and her enthusiasm to help other authors succeed, and is reaching out to people like you who want to make a difference in this world.
Kathy has been writing since 1994. This includes writing three non-fiction books on overcoming addictions, ghost writing two books in the Personal Development field, writing numerous articles, a column in a quarterly newspaper, sales letters, reports, e-books, as well as critiquing and editing books.
Kathy is an entrepreneur herself. She has an outreach to help addicts permanently overcome their addiction and learn how to identify their dreams and start living the abundant life. In April, 2018, she released her book My Friend Is an Addict – What Can I Do? Use the Roadmap Out of Addiction to Influence the Addict and to Take Back Your Life. to guide the loved ones of addicts to get their lives back. She walks what she is talking about. She has lived the life of an addict for ten years (clean since 1990), and was married to an ex-addict for four years who sucked the life out of her.
Kathy is an expert in writing for the self-help, personal development, and Christian growth fields. Her background provides the wisdom and insights to write in a manner to touch the deep struggles of your readers and move them to take action. She likes to call this “purpose-driven” writing. Now she teaches others how to incorporate this into their books.
She has been a Christian since 1980 and loves to help Christians grow in their walk with the Lord. Her first book was written from a Blblical viewpoint guiding addicts on how to be set free from their addiction and stop relapsing.
She was a non-professional crisis counselor on hotlines for over 14 years, including developing her own hotline for five years in the 1990s. That experience, combined with overcoming her own major problems, and the wisdom and discernment the Lord has given her, enables her to understand the emotional ups and downs of people and what their “stinking thinking” is that blocks them from moving forward.
Therefore, she specializes in coaching authors who have a message to share that will radically transform someone’s life. She focuses on Authors & Speakers in the personal development and/or Christian Growth fields who want to write their purpose-driven book and build a business from it.
Her 37 years as a legal secretary/paralegal resulted in impeccable grammar and spelling. She brings these skills to her critiquing of your manuscript.
She is a Baby Boomer who works diligently so she can impact more lives in the second half of her life and leave a legacy for generations to come.
